Ultrasound is sound waves with high frequencies used for the medical examination.
There are 2 procedures for the pelvic scan which are transabdominal method and transvaginal method. Patients should prepare themselves as below;
– Abdominal Ultrasound: Drink a lot of water until bladder is full and hold. In order to lower the intestine from pelvic then the uterus can be seen more clearly.
– Vaginal Ultrasound: Patient should urinate before the test and should not attend when having menstruation.
