When is the right time for fertility checkup?

Fertility checkup is considered as an important element for a couple wishing to have a baby: there are male fertility checkup and female fertility checkup.

For female fertility checkup, it is recommended to get a checkup on day 2 or day 3 of menstrual cycle since the ovary will be stable. It is a suitable period for ultrasound scan to check ovarian cyst.

Also, it is to check antral follicle count together with the condition of the uterus.

For male fertility checkup, there is no specific period. However, men should refrain from ejaculation 2-7 days before the checkup to keep sperm at its best quality. So that we can check whether sperm quality is good or not.

Therefore, if you want to have a baby, it is recommended getting a checkup 3 months in advance to reduce any risks that might occur during pregnancy.
