AMH (Anti – Mullerian Hormone) is produced from unmatured egg.
AMH levels indicate the volume of reserved egg inside ovaries. Therefore, we can measure the amount of female’s egg from this hormone. Decrease in AMH levels means the amount and quality of eggs (after stimulation) becomes lower. Which makes the less pregnancy opportunity accordingly.
Once women visit doctor about the infertility problems, there will be a blood drawing to test this hormone by evaluating the performance of ovaries and reproductive system. This step is one of procedures in the infertility treatment plan.
