What are qualifications of healthy sperm?

Semen Analysis is a method to identify sperm count, sperm motility and sperm abnormalities in order to diagnose infertility in males and primary preparation for having babies.

For appropriate sperm quality, we follow the criteria of World Health Organization (WHO).

Firstly, we will examine sperm volume which should be more than 1.5 milliliters. Next, we will examine sperm count which should be more than 15 million per milliliter.

Moreover, we will examine the percentage of sperm motility which should be more than 40% and select those with progressive motility which should be more than 32% and normal morphology should be more than 4%.

In summary, the key qualifications which affect fertility are sperm volume, sperm count, sperm motility and sperm morphology.
